With your support and donations, Moegyo Humanitarian Foundation is able to continue with the following activities and projects in 2014.
1. Moegyo Humanitarian Foundation donated US$1,000 to 3hird Medium (3M) in New York for their efforts in providing support for orphans and orphanages in Myanmar.
2. Continues providing monthly support of about $100 (100,000 kyats equivalent) to each to the following orphanages
3. In addition to providing tutoring support for high school students who are taking university entry exams since June 2008 school year, Moegyo continues to provide scholarship of about $120 for each university and college student at Kani village and Kyite Latt. There are 26 university and college students currently receiving Moegyo scholarship for 2014-15 school year.

Continues providing monthly salaries of US$100 each for 9 teachers
and US$80 for a maintenance personal at the Moegyo (1) Primary School
in Panthapyay village near Lashio, Shan State, Myanmar.

Enables a construction project of a new High School building at Kani Village in Pyapon Township in Irrawaddy Division. So far, Moegyo was able to send over US$34,000 to fulfill the proposed construction project budget of US $40,000. See the photos of the new high school building near completion.

Due to the increasing numbers of students at Moegyo (1) Primary School in Panthapyay village in Lashio
Township, Shan State, Myanmar, MHF is adding more classrooms, toilets and
living quarters for the teachers. The foundation has funded the initial amount
of US$20,000 for the project to start. Combined with construction and
logistics cost, MHF estimated US$40,000 in total for the whole project
and estimated to be completed by the late spring of 2015. The project
manager from MHF is currently at the area overseeing the activities of the project.

On the summer Saturday, August 3rd 2013, Moegyo Humanitarian Foundation held the 4th Annual Lawn Concert in Herndon, Virginia, to raise funds to support 5 orphanages and Moegyo 1 Primary School in Northern Shan State.
The guests enjoyed a dinner buffet with authentic Burmese Cuisines, complete with traditional desserts and drinks. This year lawn concert featured cultural dances & performances of Myanmar by Mya Thida Dance Troupe (Myanmar Cultural Association of Brampton, Ontario, Canada) accompanied by Myanmar's famous singers: "May Sweet" & "Mie Mie Win Pe". There were also sales of donated unique gifts and accessories from Myanmar and goods from local vendors. The event was made possible with the help of supporters and volunteers who turned out to give a hand to those children in need in Myanmar.
Saturday, August 4th 2012 was a happy day. On that summer day, Moegyo Humanitarian Foundation held the 3rd Annual Lawn Concert in Herndon, Virginia, to raise funds to support 5 orphanages and Moegyo 1 Primary School in Shan State.
There was live music by a local band and the guests enjoyed a dinner buffet complete with many authentic Burmese Cuisines, desserts and drinks. Local vendors displayed their goods for sale, and a silent auction featuring unique gifts and accessories. The event was possible with the help of supporters and volunteers who turned out to give a hand to those children in need in Myanmar. 100% proceeds from the event went towards the orphans in Myanmar.
The Moegyo Humanitarian Foundation's (MHF) 1st Annual Charity Dinner to benefit the Moegyo College Scholarship Funds for students at Kani Village Youth Development and Education Center was held in Thai Tada restaurant in Herndon, Virginia on 4 December 2010. Moegyo volunteers from Virginia and New York invited guests, friends and families to enjoy authentic Thai and Burmese cuisines, live DJ music and to participate in silent auction.
Kani Village Youth Development and Education Center is one of five orphanages that Moegyo Humanitarian Foundation has been supporting since Cyclone Nargis devastated the Delta region of Myanmar in May 2008. There were also high school students and the Moegyo Humanitarian Foundation provided them with tuition fees during their high school year. Most likely as a result of this additional support they receive, in 2010, ten students passed the high school at the Kani orphanage. Nine of them approached Moegyo that they would like to continue higher education amidst many obstacles that face them. We are committed to continue helping them to achieve brighter futures.
 On behalf of the nine young adults that will benefit from college education this year, we would like to thank you all for your support for the Charity Dinner. We are happy to share with you that Moegyo Humanitarian Foundation was able to raise $6,300 during the event and thus made it possible to support the children of Kani Village Youth Development and Education Center to be able to continue their education beyond High School. The silent auction was a successful addition for the night and with that alone, we were able to raise $1,165.00.
We would like to express our appreciation for the Myanmar Restaurant, A Taste of Burma, Market Street Bar and Grill, Personal Best, KS World Travel, Cox Communication, Noufall Hair Studio, and Liberty Tax Services for donating gift certificates for the silent auction. We'd also like to thank the Burmese community in Virginia for donating authentic Burmese food and dessert, merchandise for silent auction, and live DJ music.
We are excited to share with you that we raised over $5,000 of our goal of $10,000 at the Lawn Concert fund raising event on Saturday evening in Virginia. On behalf of Moegyo Humanitarian Foundation family & the girls at Kyite Latt Orphanage, we would like to thank all the donors, sponsors, guests & volunteers for making this event a success.
The funds will go toward building a sleeping quarter for the girls at the Kyite Latt Girl Development Center located in Myanmar (Burma). There prior sleeping quarters was destroyed over a year ago by the cyclone Nargis. Since then the girls have been sharing sleeping quarters with the nuns that run the center. We appreciate everyone coming together to support the cause despite the short fall of rain. We would like to also thank you for bringing your friends, bosses, co-workers & family members etc., We were honored to have all of you at the event and hope to continue the friendship through many years to come.
We are very pleased to announced that the event was made possible by many sponsors so that 100% of the proceeds of the event including ticket sales and your donations can be used for the project.
It is heartwarming to see a community of people over 8300 miles away and unknown to the orphans have such a positive and profound impact on those in such need.

A Summer Lawn Concert raising funds to rebuild sleeping quarter for Girls Orphanage located in Kyite Latt (Irrawady Delta Region, Myanmar (Burma)). The sleeping quarter was destroyed by Cyclone Nargis in May 2008.

How we are going to use the funds raised from this event
We plan to rebuild the girls’ sleeping quarter in the orphanage in Kyite Latt as it is in unlivable condition. It is a two-storey wooden structure that was damaged during the cyclone Nargis last year. Moegyo was able to bring an engineer crew on second visit to school to make assessment and to do estimate on rebuilding cost. It was estimated that rebuilding would cost around $10,000 using brick and concrete foundation to and wooden structure at the top. We are now raising money for rebuilding the girls’ sleeping quarter.
On 9 and 10 August 2008, we had fundraising event 5th Asian Festival in Reston, VA.
 Objectives:
- To promote MHF and its programs and activities.
- To raise fund and to support our 2nd project with "Raise up Persons with disability's Development Group (RPDG)" in rebuilding 30 homes and repairing 30 shops of disabled families (estimated budget is $13,400)
At the event, MHF and its volunteer from VA, MD and NY sold T-shirts, Tote bags, wristbands, Asian Furniture, Myanmar Art crafts and decorations (donated by friends from MD and VA).
We participated in cultural showcase competition, displaying Myanmar cultures and in cultural dances at Asia Festival, mainly See-Mee-Khwat dance and Thingyan Yain Dance, performed by ZZ from VA. We had about 20 volunteers joined the effort from planning, organizing, advertising, setting up the tent, and transportation of food and supplies.
 The success of this event is credited to the team work of all volunteers participated in the efforts towards a common goal i.e. to help fellow Myanmar people back home. Together, we raised $3336.
